Hey, So I am VERY new to PC building and I want something that can run Minecraft and DayZ on High to Highest settings. I don't even know if this build will fit together lol.

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor ($159.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme3 ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard ($104.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: GeIL EVO POTENZA 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($57.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Asus Radeon R9 270X 2GB Video Card ($223.99 @ Staples)
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Microcenter)
Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($44.99 @ NCIX US)
Optical Drive: LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer ($15.99 @ Microcenter)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($89.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $792.91

If there is anything around 800 but a better PC please let me know. And also I want to know what overclockable means, it has something to do with making the CPU run more GHz but Im not 100% sure how to do that. Thnx

Hi Ryanoc94

Looking over the build it doesn't look too bad, 1 thing about this build that wont work is your power supply, It may struggle running both you R9 270X and your FX-8350, I would recommend going to a power supply with 750 watts or more, Something like a Corsair CX750 Builder Series bringing you price to around $820

Hi SR-71 Blackbird

I have been using the Corsair CX750 for about a mouth now and have had no problems, to me it seem's quite decent, even though the capacitors are cheap is it really going to effect the build that much?

Thanks, Dan

No. Wattage comes second. If you have a high quality but lower wattage psu, thats better :)

Take a look at the calculator.

Note:The site may be down.

Build looks nice, if you have more money, get haswell or haswell refresh i5 to go Intel Way.

If not, try Haswell i3 and better GPU.

EDIT: OOOOPS TOO LATE.

I've got a friend with a simlar build to this and he can get 500 fps on minecraft (apparently) but he gets around 100-125 fps whilst recording, and dayz should run pretty smooth aswell, all in all this is a brillient build

sincerely, Dan
