Streaming question (Laptop and desktop)

I am looking to start streaming and I already have a laptop. Will it be possible for me to build a desktop strictly for streaming and encoding, then Play the game on my laptop but have the stream running off of the desktop?

Do you mean to have the Desktop do all the hard work and play it on your laptop? The only thing that can do that is Steam which has their new streaming that it can do now.

That will work as long as your playing a game from STEAM.

Becuase that is something that Steam it self does. Its deisgned to do that. Any other game won't work because it will only want to play it on that PC.
