Do I need case standoffs?

Hi everyone, I have built computers before and always used standoffs. This build has taken 4 months, involving returning every single piece at least once. I'm not exaggerating. It turned out the RAM wasn't listed on the QVL list, even though PCpartpicker said it was compatible. I ordered the correct RAM and just got a POST beep on my external build! I am extremely excited. However, I am also extremely concerned about the lack of standoff screws. My board didn't contain any screws at all, and I don't want to install it without standoffs for fear of ruining the mobo, which I have heard happens often when standoffs aren't utilized. What should I do?

yes you do need standoff .... they came with case not mother board.... i find and old case and take from them.. that what i did ... also i build so many and every time i throw out old case i alway took everything off .. even the standoff.

they pretty cheap if you didn't have any ... go buy some or ask your friend

You can buy some motherboard screws (and standoffs) at any computer supply store... if you don't know the exact size, buy different size sets so either will work... they're very inexpensive.
