When I play dota 2 I can tell I am getting smooth 60fps but when my character is moving he will stutter. I tried turning V sync off and it fixed the problem but the my mouse started being the one to stutter.

I have a 2ms monitor if thats any help.

My computer can deffo run the game fine it's not like its lag as my inputs go through its just my character and sometimes mouse always stutters.

Anybody got a solution?

Not OC'ing at all. And I think the PC is using the GPU I don't really know how to check. I would imagine it is because it was running Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and this jumpyness was present in that too. I turned off V sync in that and the frames were extremely smooth but when I would move my gun would jitter.

It's just lots of jitteryness. My PC is fine and capable just something weird going on.

It's strange also because I used to play Dota 2 on a laptop which was far less powerful and would never get this jitter I speak of. And I would play on everything maxed out. I really think it may be my monitors 2ms response time or something.

this has nothing to do with the monitor. The 2ms response time refers to how fast the the pixels can change once the receive the new signal. If you do not have a dedicated GPU, http://www.reviversoft.com/blog/2012/01/integrated-vs-dedicated-a-difference-in-graphics/ , this is most likely the cause of the issue. The integrated GPU is not meant for heavy gaming like you are trying to do with your machine.

Another thing that can make this happen is over heating. Over heating causes the CPU to drop it's frequency to stay cool. this is why i asked for your temps.

Ram issues can cause this also, to test download Memtest86+ and burn it to flash drive or a disk. Run the disk as the boot device and let the program run for 11 passes. If it errors, you will know because it will tell you in red writing, the memory is either bad or is setting is wrong in the Bios.

Sorry I forgot to write my GPU

Sapphire Radeon Vapor-X r9 270x

With V sync on on Blood dragon It reduces jitter but makes the frames worse. With it off the jitter is back but the frames are way better.

Just played on Borderlands 2 and stutter is present there as well.

I have a GPU, R9 270x. How do I tell which one my computer is using?

that gpu is a dedicated GPU, on the back of the tower, the video cable should be plugged into the card itself and not to the motherboard. the motherboard video output would be in the section that has all the connections for USB, PS2, audio. The GPU will be more to the side and only have just video outputs on it.

Yeah man I'm all up to date. Got that AMD Catalyst stuff and Game evolved app thing of theirs which tells me all drivers are up to date 14.4 all that jazz.

Just have no idea what's going on here :( So annoying

OK now it is time to test the ram then, go here: http://www.memtest.org/ and download and put it on a disk or flash drive. once done you will need to enter the Bios and set that type of media as the boot device. this program runs with out windows and runs on it's own UI. this is why you need to set it as boot device. Let it run for 11 passes. this will take some time so don't rush it.

Ahh okay.

About the RAM. It is an older version. It has actually been sitting in my old pc dormant for about 8 months.

https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpa1/v/t34.0-12/10528043_10152550232018485_1319555875_n.jpg?oh=a863284be9d3674b237ec773564d217d&oe=53D09413&__gda__=1406161534_1f186af64be37e1803db07edc2c345bb

That's a picture of it. Don't suppose the details on the side infer anything?

Maybe I just need to buy better RAM

No I don't think that buying ram would help the situation. First thing to do is find the exact reason this is happening. this is why I recommended to test the ram to be sure the ram is not causing this.

What other programs do you have running at the same time as the games?

sorry for the later response as I have a 5 year old at home with me and takes up much of my time.

Haha no problem with the late responses friend, the fact that you've responded so much to help is so nice I am really appreciative.

Don't have anything other than chrome open usually.

I do sometimes have amd gaming evolved open sometimes but I don't think that would be affecting it.

I went on borderlands 2 and was getting the same amount of jitter no matter what settings I played on.
