Okay so I'm about to build a PC and I have everything figured out besides the SATA and where I put by booting up SSD, my HDDs, and my blu ray drive.

Here is the list of SATA ports on my board

-1 x SATA Express port, compatible with 2 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports
1 x M.2 Socket 3, , with M Key, type 2260 storage devices support (both SATA & PCIE mode)
4 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), red
Support Raid 0, 1, 5, 10
Supports Intel® Smart Response Technology, Intel® Rapid Start Technology, Intel® Smart Connect Technology *3
ASMedia® SATA Express controller : *4
1 x SATA Express port, compatible with 2 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports
ASMedia® ASM1061 controller : *4
2 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), red

Solution
Your best SATA ports are going to be the ones from the chipset the 4 red SATA 6Gb's ports from there move your less important devices to the ASMedia ports. Usually the built in SATA controller is faster than the add-on ones although not by a large margin but SSD's would be the devices effected the most by this small difference. On another note though depending on the BIOS/UEFI it may be better to have your boot devices on the Intel ports because some BIOS/UEFI won't boot from add-on chips. Although this issue seems to be less prevalent today but some boards still do this.

NOTE: The SATA express port(s) will be the fastest ones on your system but only for devices that support SATA Express. Not to mention the M.2 socket but again only if...
