So I uninstalled malwarebytes and google chrome, and when I rebooted I opened task manager after the login, and saw a process called makecab.exe
I believe its a process used by programs to create cabinet files.

It ended almost instantly. I used autoruns to check for startup entries, and couldnt find it.

Ive rebooted numerous timea, and it doesnt start anymore. What was the reason for it running?

The makecab.exe program is used to compressed CBS log files which can be large files. When windows scans for updates upon boot-up it often finds these CBS logs and compresses them, and the compression is done with the the makecab.exe program. If it doesn't find and log files it won't run or at least it shouldn't. If it is running all the time and using up all your resources it is likely that it is a trojan. But from your description the behavior seems quite normal.
