Hi,this is my first post, excuse me if do any mistake or if i do some typoerrors
So,as the title says,my 3G Modem Adapter (Olicard 200 14.4mbps from Olivettti) keeps switching from UMTS and HSPA+ and because of this my ping drops to 900ms (usually i have 60/70ms) evert 3-5 min (the time the modem keeps switching) for about 3-6 seconds (the time it takes to switch from HSPA+ to UMTS and viceversa.and during the switch i have 0 byte sending...basically im not connected to the internet for those 3-6 seconds).
What i did:
Updated the Olicard 200 software and firmware
Updated my wirless and other network drivers
Factory Restart
Tried changing channel, port or moving around my house (even if i have a 4 out of 5 signal)
I tried TCPOptimizer and Advance System Care (Yeah,i know most of these programs just mess up with your registry files but at this point nothing could go worse)
Updated video card (NVIDIA GT540M,yes,it's a old one i know) drivers (i googled about this problem and i found an article where video settings/or the card could cause these lags)
In my area nothing changed, only my OS changed on my computer (from W7 to W8 and then W8.1 Update 1) but it's because of the OS Upgrade, since it worked on W7 and W8. (When i installed W8 i had to wait until April 2013 for the software update...everything was running smooth.
Then i installed Advance System Care and i did Internet Optimization...nothing weird for the 1st week, after 2 more weeks my internet started random lagspiking like now.
After that i did a factory reset, wich didn't solved the issue.
I also changed some settings on the Power Managment (selective standby option)
But,i didn't called my ISP,since the first time i had a bad experience and here in italy the maximum help you could get from calling them it's "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" or "It's your PC for sure".
Any help it's really appreciated since i tried almost everything i could do (also modyfing my registry)
Sorry for this poem, but it's really frustrating for example while playing LoL and begin executed because those lagspikes)
Thanks for your time
