Hey all!, I have a 500gb Seagate Barracuda thats not at 100% health. I went out and bought myself an 840 Evo 120gb. I need to clone the HDD over to the SSD, but to do that, i would need to have a maximum of 110gb used from the HDD. My problem lies with the HDD. it's a 500gb 7200rpm HDD......why is my computer telling me that it has 696gb?? I have 696gb, with 455gb free. 251gb is being used. Is this even possible?

XD Its alright. It happens to the best of US! Still download that program in my signature and run it. see if any drives come up as caution or bad.
Are you sure its not a 750GB? Also sometimes when drives go bad they tend to act weird. If the hard drive really is going bad then you might not have much luck cloning it.

Use Crystal Disk info in my Signature to see how bad the drive is if its bad at all. A 750 GB should show 696-698 GB total size once formatted.
