Hey this is my first build, i am on a budget and this is the best i could do with what i could afford. I want to play games at high to medium settings and would like to know if i am setting my hopes to high or if i am not aware of what i have. I really want to play gmod, minecraft (with optifine), bf4, watchdogs, and lol. Any answers and opinions would help. Thanks a lot!:) here is my build.

This will play all the games he wants locked at 60fps at medium for sure. IF he wants high settings he will play at 40-50fps and have spikes, but I guess you can do that, but medium would be a much more enjoyable experience.

Also, in many applications, dual channel RAM will give you TWICE the speed of normal RAM. In some games it doesn't matter, in others it matters alot. And RAM speed most certainly matters. In a game that doesn't use much RAM at all like Skyrim you would see no difference between single channel 1600mhz and dual channel 2133mhz, but in Watch Dogs, a game that is VERY RA< intensive, the difference could be as much as 10-20fps.

AFAIK Dual channel doesn't actually have that much benefit, it's not like RAM speed matters, and I believe it's to allow upgrades to 16GB in future.

But still, if you're not planning on doing much other than gaming then 8gb will be enough for a long time, might as well go dual channel.

well it wont play ultra or high. maybe medium but for the money what can you do. could you get like a fx 6300 that would be a better cpu. or if you could upgrade the psu to a quality 500w and the gpu to a r9 270 for 140$ you could play at ultra

Actually if you check the video, it can run BF4 on high settings and get an average 45fps, and about 55fps in Bioshock Infinite, and then similar fps in other games.

For the money this PC gives very good performance.

oh i though he would want a 60fps constant but like i said it is a pretty decent rig for the money. His budget is also pretty good someone wanted a 300$ gaming computer with a os.
