what power supply sould i get

my friend will build a new pc and i want to know wat power supply should he get for core i5 4690 and 8gb 4x2 hyperx ram 1600mhz and gtx 760 oc edition 2gb windforce 3x will 550 be enoug or 600 would be better

A good 500w would do just fine. A quality 550w would give it a nice headroom.

Get an XFX 550. That is the cheapest and best quality PSU for this build. It will be great.

headroom mean extra power for other components if they need it. A 550w would definatley run that make sure its from corsair(HX and AX are best), evga,seasonic,antec, or xfx all quality components and will last a long time.

Skip corsair. They have nothing as cheap and as high quality as the XFX550. Just get that.

yeah thats true. the hx 650w is like 95$ when you could get a xfx 550 for less
