Fixed my bent cpu pin, still worried

I accidentally slightly, like ever so slightly bent 3 pins on my cpu, fixed em right up using my state ID and put it right back in the mobo, slapped on thermal paste, and the heatsink. Boots fine and I've been using it for a few days.

I was wondering if there is anyway the processor could still break, like if the processor is snug in the AM3+ socket, and the pins seemed sturdy and not flimsy. Could they eventually break off or could the processor eventually stop working due to thermal fatigue?

I am sure nukemaster would agree, but unless you bent them back and forth multiple times, you have nothing to worry about.

Yes, you should always be careful when installing and removing CPUs from sockets. You want as little lateral (sideways) motion as possible. Straight up/down is the best.

Good luck!
