So, I'm using a SSD with the OS, drivers and BF4. On my HDD I stored media and installed some secondary programs. My problem is, sometimes when I open a window, or even a website that uses something stored on the HDD, my PC freezes for a couple of seconds and I can hear the HDD reving up. Is this normal or is there something I can do to stop those freezes?

That is normal. What you are experiencing is because the drive was parked completely and since the computer needed data off the drive it had to wake it up. The only thing I could think of to keep the drive awake more often is moving something that is commonly accessed onto that drive so that it stays awake.

NOTE: This happens on my system when I go to access files on any of my 3 Media drives. So yup that is normal.

I have only one HDD and one SSD. So, if the issue is that it is idling, then I'll just install something that runs all the time on it and see if it solves the problem. Thx guys

Ps: Its a 2TB Barracuda
