Can't control CPU-FAN and my APU gets too hot when idling.

Hello today I just built my first computer; but the cpu temps are too high.

It gets around 50-67 degrees (celsius) while idling and around 80 while in-game (world of warcraft)

I checked everywhere in my mobo to find settings for cpu-fan but I couldn't find any.

FAN usually runs at 1300-1400rpm and 2000 when in-game. I want it to run faster, noise isn't a problem I just want it to run smooth, without burning into a crisp.

APU: AMD A6-6400K
RAM:8GB GSKILL SNIPER
MOBO:ASUS A55BM-E
CPU-FAN: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

You need the thinnest amount of thermal paste possible as it has less good thermal conductivity than aluminium and copper (of which CPU lid and cooler are made of) the reason why we apply thermal paste, it is to prevent micro air bubble...

You may be right about thermal paste, At first I applied from a corner to the another, then I put the heat sink wrong then I removed it and put some more thermal paste without erasing the other, much less this time though. Does thermal paste absorb that much cold that goes into my cpu?

You need the thinnest amount of thermal paste possible as it has less good thermal conductivity than aluminium and copper (of which CPU lid and cooler are made of) the reason why we apply thermal paste, it is to prevent micro air bubble to get between your CPU and your cooler ( air is a very good thermal insulator which is bad when trying to conduct heat)

so heat goes from cpu to paste, from paste to cooler heatpipe then from heat pipe to radiator, and finally from radiator to air. so the thinnest you can apply of thermal paste, the better it is.

if you apply too much thermal paste it is bad an heat will be dissipated less efficiently. apply a pea size (litterally a pea size) of paste at the center and then do not pull cooler back as it will produce air bubble.

Optimal temp should be around 25 to 35 idling and 50-60 gaming

I installed this cooler on my friend FX-8350 (125 W TDP) with my artic silver 5 thermal paste and he get 55 max at gaming and 20 idling

This sounds like a great solution, I'll try as fast as I can.

Just cleaned my cpu, and the heat sink side of the cpu (that metal square under my heat sink had thermal paste on it too). And applied a pea sized amount of thermal paste on my cpu. Still goes up to 70 degress after boot. Lowest it went while idle was 50.

1.9 vcore? Surprised that little APU isn't toast.

I know right XD who said AMD can't make sturdy stuff !
