I recently installed a ASUS radeon R9 270 and it wasn't compatible with my motherboard according to the company. I have a MSI 760gm-P23 (fx). I really need a new graphics card and I don't know what will be compatible with it. What should I look for?

Unless you messed something up, it should be compatible with the GPU. Most GPU's are fine as long as it's plugged in a PCI-E x16 slot.

If it really doesn't work then I recommend the GTX 660.

Aha yup just like what I said :p

The card has a PCIe 3.0 connector, and the motherboard is 2.0.
Both are in X16 mode. All version of PCIe are backwards compatible, back to 1.0.

There really is no card besides the 295x2 for example that can saturate the full bandwidth of the 2.0 lane.
It will work fine. Who exactly was "they"?

The driver on the disc you received may be outdated (It often is). Just install the updated driver off of AMD's website.
