I tried installing my graphics card in my computer, I have a pegatron carmel 2 motherboard and evga 500 watt bronze certified power supply. I've been told it should work, but it just freezes on the blue hp screen saying to press esc to go to the startup screen. Please help. Can someone suggest me different graphics card that will work? It's not a faulty card because I already returned it, and got a new one and it still didn't work.

Ouch, you need to upgrade your mother board. If that still does not work I recommend a new power supply, remember only **if the new mother board does not work.

There a number of other posts on this forum about that motherboard. Apparently its GPU support is extremely limited. Others have had the exact same issues as you with other NVidia GPUs. See http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1987829/gtx-660-...

Looks like your best bet would be to get a new motherboard.

You could try except no guarantee. That motherboard is not very good at gpu upgrades. What power supply and cpu are you using?

Do you think a motherboard upgrade is possible? If so, just get a new motherboard for like 60$

Sorry I don't have the money at the time for a new motherboard and also a new operating system for it, I'll just try getting the radeon card.
