MY COMPUTER DOESNT WORK WITH GRAPHICS CARD PLEASE GIVE ME a STRAIGHTFORWARD ANSWER THE GPU IS GTX 750

I tried installing my graphics card in my computer, I have a pegatron carmel 2 motherboard and evga 500 watt bronze certified power supply. I've been told it should work, but it just freezes on the blue hp screen saying to press esc to go to the startup screen. Please help. Can someone suggest me different graphics card that will work? It's not a faulty card because I already returned it, and got a new one and it still didn't work.

  1. Ouch, you need to upgrade your mother board. If that still does not work I recommend a new power supply, remember only **if the new mother board does not work.

There a number of other posts on this forum about that motherboard. Apparently its GPU support is extremely limited. Others have had the exact same issues as you with other NVidia GPUs. See http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1987829/gtx-660-compatible-ipisb-carmel2-motherboard.html

Looks like your best bet would be to get a new motherboard.

What if I tried a radeon card? Maybe a 7770?
  4. Nahh, might aswell just save up and do a rebuild.
  5. I don't want to build my own computer I just want to know if a radeon card would work
  6. You could try except no guarantee. That motherboard is not very good at gpu upgrades. What power supply and cpu are you using?
  7. Also, please let me know the model number of the pc, I could tell you what would work or not

  9. Do you think a motherboard upgrade is possible? If so, just get a new motherboard for like 60$

Sorry I don't have the money at the time for a new motherboard and also a new operating system for it, I'll just try getting the radeon card.
