Ok so this is my first build lets start off with im 16 working a part time job and have almost $300 saved up so far i spent hours and hours looking at parts and researching what to get, my old xbox360 is not cutting it any more so i wanted a gaming pc that can handle most games smoothly it dont have to be ultra settings at 1080p and ill be new to pc gaming to just FYI i want peoples opinions on this build and what type of performance i can expect to, i want to play most of the big box games and games like arma 3 and minecraft and so on but they dont have to be maxed out do you all think this build can pull those off and any tips this being my first build i wont have the parts for a while still have another $300 to save up.

Great build! However, i'd go with an intel Pentium G3258 and a B85 or H97 motherboard, athlon is good but there is no upgrade path and it isn't a true quad core, while the Pentium has great single threaded performance (which is what games crave) and it has an upgrade path so you can upgrade to i5 or i7 in the future.

Hello,

That CPU is pretty much the maximum possible for your motherboard. For 1080p, go for at least an R7-270X or an GTX760, and at least an 500W PSU from SEasonic or XFX.

oh ok that is perfectly fine.

Yes the Athlon and Pentium G3258 are around equal, the Pentium G3258 has better single threaded performance while Athlon has better multithreaded. But for gaming they are both the same.

Get the Athlon x4 760K, it's the most powerful in it's class.
