Hi,

This is my first time making my own pc and i want it for mostly gaming and little bit of surfing. I have a build in mind which i made at pcpart picker but im not well educated in the feild of mother boards so i need recommendations and opinions. here is my build and my budget is 950$ (CAD) i am not looking to oc atm but in the future, and sli or cross fire support would be nice. Any recommendations for the build would be appreciated and taken into account

As far as making this something you can overclock, you need to get a Z series board. The Asrock Extreme3 has a CAD$35 rebate at the moment so it's a pretty good choice for your budget. For less than a dollar more, your better off getting the XFX R9 280x as it is a more trusted brand. I also changed the PSU. It's lower wattage but it's a better quality PSU which you will need if you intend to overclock.

I would also advise that you buy the CPU cooler now, as it will be quieter, and it's going to save you a choir later by having to remove the old cooler and clean the CPU.
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($31.86 @ DirectCanada)

Update: By the looks of this shot here, you may or may not have to remove the motherboard to change the cooler, but either way it's going to be a pain.

The EVO is generally considered the best budget cooler, as it's price/performance is just much better than other coolers of the same price and you'll see the EVO recommended in just about every budget build that requires a cooler on this site. Because of this I don't really know much about other cheap coolers, so you'll have to read up on some reviews of other coolers if you want to get something cheaper.

As for wireless adaptors, read up on reviews, but they tend to be fickle anyway. On the adaptor you selected, some people on newegg seem to have problems with any Windows other than 8. But as to the best adaptor, I've had great success with expensive adaptors and routers, as well as cheap adaptors and routers. I've had adaptors that work great with one router, but rubbish with another. I've had routers that will work in one location, but not another, even if other routers will work there. My point is that i've given up on trying to find the best routers and adaptors, because for no apparent reason they are great in some conditions and rubbish in others.
