NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M SLI

Solution
If you look at the review I posted it has the 870M running battlefield at ultra, 1080p getting average 37.1 fps. Around 30 fps is what most people consider the minimum playable frame rate, and above that everything just starts to look smoother. Below about 25 fps is where you start to see stuttering. Personally if i had a 870M I would just play on high settings, but if graphics are more important to you it is would still be playable on ultra at 37fps.

Yes the Battlefield 4 does support SLI and Hardline should too. Sometimes games have compatibility issues with multi-card systems at launch but it's usually patched, although on occasion it's never fixed. It's usually better to get one more powerful GPU than two weaker ones, even if the...

Probably best to just open one thread with all your graphics card questions, but to answer your questions, the 860M SLI should run at 60+ fps on ultra and 870M should run at 60+ fps on high (assuming a 1080p screen).

The 860M SLI will be more powerful than the 870M but it may also have SLI compatibility issues with some games. The SLI will also use more power if you intend to run them on the battery. It's also worth noting that there are two variants of the 860M, one based on Maxwell and one base on Kelpar architectures and they perform slightly differently but you won't know which you'll be getting until you buy it or you find out from whoever you are getting the laptop from.

Thanks for replying mate, I just couldn't be stuff going to the Graphics Card section. The 860M SLI will run on a Gigabyte Aorus X7v2, the 870M will run on MSI GS70 Stealth 2PE Pro.

But would the 870M still be able to play on ultra at maybe 50FPS. Would that be acceptable for most gamers?

And would Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline support SLI because I couldn't find this in the GeForce website.

The X7 v2 uses the Kelpar 860M's by the way.

Thanks very much for your reply. Yes I have seen you link, but would you be able to spot any different in Battlefield 4 and Hardline between High and Ultra settings.

BTW, do you play on a laptop. If you do, can you please tell me your specs. I am currently really lost with so many different laptops catching my eye.

I am into a thin and portable laptop. I know that it overheats a lot, but would a cooler work fine and maybe not fry an egg.
