Don't get the DDR3 version, get the GDDR5 version as it performs a lot better.
What is your PSU?

My first advice would be you need a slightly faster processor to run the game without lag. Try an i5 processor and like what Dylzan said, a GDDR5 version graphics card. Then you would be playing the game perfectly.

Well i hope you don't want that card to play games as demanding like battlefield hardline. I tryed BF hardline with that video card and a i7 4770 and even in low setting it doesn't run smooth enough to be able to aim fast and stup like that. But if it's for games like minecraft of couter strike then is more than enough.

No offense, but Battlefield Hardline requires a much better graphics card than that. A GTX 750 will do better. But I would go with a 780Ti.

Why is the 780 Ti being mentioned? The OP was asking about a GT 640.

Its 450W but for GT 640 Minimum System Power Requirement (W) is 350 W
Will it run smoothly by playing NFS Rivals in low settings ??
I cant afford DDR5 and i3 processor

It's GDDR5, a new processor is not required as you will see a definite increase in performance. get a GT 740 with GDDR5 if you can.
