Hi all,

I wanted to build my step-daughter a nice gamer. I know she's not crazy about huge computers, so I figured I'd try to find a small matx case and take it from there. I found a case that I'm sure she would love; it's a Realan E-D5S. It's simple and clean, yet has a nice look to it. I ordered it and it arrived a few days ago. Now I'm trying to find a good CPU and mobo for it and I'm having some problems doing so.

For the CPU, I was thinking about going with an AMD 8 core, not sure which one yet, but one of the FX series chips. They are socket AM3+. I can find a number of matx mobo's with that socket, that's not the problem. The problem is that the case has 2 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 on top and there's where the problem is. I can't seem to find an matx socket AM3+ motherboard with 2 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0 headers. I've tried Newegg and TigerDirect and also tried manufacturer sites as well.

Can anyone suggest a good mobo that I could use? I greatly appreciate any and all suggestions!

Thanks for your quick reply! I'm at work right now so I don't have the case right in front of me. I'm not entirely sure, but you may be right. I'll have to take a look once I get home. Hopefully, it is the way you described. Thanks!
