Should I wait?

Hi, I'm looking to build a gaming PC in January, 2015. My question is: Should I wait until January to plan it all out? I have spent hours making up multiple builds, and I'm beginning to realize that new GPU's and such are coming out very soon. So should I wait until these products are out before I make any final decisions? Are they even coming out? By the way, I have a budget of 1,100. Please leave me your thoughts as I would greatly appreciate all the help I can get. I normally get 2 replies at the most and it's getting quite annoying so I'd like a change of pace.

By all means get a feel for it now, but don't waste too much time - by 2015 new CPUs and GPUs will be available

Haha too late, I've already wasted more than too much time! Well, I guess it's time to focus on something else.

Intel's new broadwell processors will be available, plus the gtx 8xx series GPUs from nvidia. xmas this year is gonna be expensive lol

Yikes, do you think I could make a build out of $1,000? It would be a $2,000 budget if my money didn't "disappear" recently. :(

Yeah don't worry, you could do a perfectly decent build on $600-$700 and the new hardware isn't going to change that - you'll hopefully just get more for your money :D

Keep researching with the expectation that you might end up buying parts that are a step up above from what you're seeing now. That way you'll familiarize yourself with advancements. There's nothing worse than shopping around for computer hardware and having no frame of reference with what exists in the market.
