hi i use fiber optic cables in UV nir spectrometry. The tip of my fible optic cable is slightly pitted due to wear and tear as it needs to physically be in contact with the testing material. Can i use a resin or gel to fill up the small microscopic pits in order to get a better contact with the testing substance.
