So, I recently read a post about how if the motherboard you purchase has only three case fan headers on it, there are multiple ways of configuring your case fans (i.e. connect to power supply or fan controller, etc.)
As a first time builder, I had made up my mind to have more than three fans in my system and am planning to connect as many case fans as I can to the motherboard and the rest to the PSU.
My question is (and this may be a potential newbie question) but if the case fans are connected to the power supply, are fans being gauged as to how fast the are running or are they constantly running no matter what? If they are being gauged I would like to know how. And also, if someone has a better idea to how to configure my case fan situation, I'm all ears to constructive criticism!
