What does mean 2400(O.C)

I am buying new motherboard and it says this 2933(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666(O.C.)/2600(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1600/1333MHz , i know oc means overclocking but i dont know what it has to do with ram. I am planning on getting 1866 2x4GB

Basically it lets you know that an OC of the CPU/Memory controller may be required to run at that freq, i.e. if an Intel CPU you will likely need a K model CPU and OC it to get the DRAM to run at full freq

it means that the motherboard will only support ram that runs at an OverClocked speed of 1866mhz/2000mhz ect... not a stock clock of 1866/2000. you should get corsair vengeance ram because it would run on this motherboard. i have this ram and it runs on my mobo perfect oc`ed. my mobo has the same oc requrements as yours
