I just got a logitech mmo mouse and soon getting the g230 headset and I want to get a new keyboard. I want to get a mechanical keyboard but i want to get a logitech one to go along with my other peripherals. They only have one keyboard that is mechanical and it is a little out of my budget. Im shooting for a keyboard less than $100. Any suggestions on which keyboard I should get? I'll be willing to get a non logitech keyboard as well.

Solution
I use a TTEsports Meka G-Unit, it has black keys, but there is also a red key version. I was able to get mine for $70. They're incredibly well built. Black and red keys are the most highly recommended for gaming because they allow double-tapping of keys much easier than blue or brown. Black requires slightly more pressure to fully depress than a standard membrane keyboard, while red requires less, but neither are tactile or clicky. If you can get to a store that sells them, you should try them out first, as you won't know what you like until you try them out. Before I got my first mechanical keyboard, reading online had convinced me I wanted brown switches, and I was actually looking at the keyboard I had all but decided on and I...

Im not a fan of the Logitech keyboards myself as they are too chunky for me, its is fun to see one run over by a tank though : http://gaming.logitech.com/en-gb/product/g710plus-mechanical-gaming-keyboard

Check out Razer, they have an awesome sleek array of mechanical keyboards, some that even record your macro for in-depth analysis of how you could improve your game-play, most of the keyboards have a bag for storage as well. I am getting one for my upcoming 4K build as well as other peripherals

Heres the link: http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads

With regards to the price you could probably get a Razer for under 100, just gotta search.

Hope that helps and good luck in your search.

It all depends on what kind of keys switch you want, as in it being tactile or not, loud or quiet. I would try some out at a local store that stocks them if that is possible.
I have a Unicomp Classic 104. It works well, but build quality leaves a bit to be desired. Unicomp keyboards are not flashy or stylish, but they have good switches. All of their offerings should be around $100 mark with shipping.

Cherry blue switches seem to be very popular, and many a hovering right around the $100 mark.

We can't really answer the question for you properly since there are many personal taste and environmental factors that come into play with deciding on a mechanical keyboard.

I have been researching mechanical keyboards and I would like to get my brown switches as many people say they are good for pepole who never used mechanical keyboards before. It doesn't really matter the brand of the keyboard mainly if it has brown switches and possibly back lit because I really think they look amazing

I really like the look of this keyboard. One of my choices so far. Thanks.

I tried red and black keys and they were both much better for me.

I have been looking at the tt esports. I don't have any stores around me with keyboards except best buy and all they have is the mechanical logitech and razer blackwidow on display... no place where I can test them out so Im gonna have to just wing it and buy something online. Thanks for the help though guys

Sounds good, but they do usually have cutouts in the boxes so you can press the keys just to get a feel for them. Cherry blacks, reds, blues, browns, clears, etc., are the same no matter what keyboard they're in, so you can kinda get a feel for them. The Poseidon Z from TTEsports has a good variation of switches and is fully illuminated, so I would look at that if you want full illumination. The Meka G-Unit I have only has WASD, left shift/control, space, arrow, and 4 numbers on the number pad illuminated, enough so you know where your fingers are, but not as flashy.

I like the G-Unit. Where'd you buy yours from?
