Hi,
I am building my new gaming pc and I will get the asus maximus vii hero and I will get the corsair vengeance pro 16GB 2x8GB DDR3 2400MHz but I am afraid that I would face compatibility issues.
(Can I run it at 2400MHZ without problems?)

If so what is the best 16gb ram kit that I can get with that motherboard.

Is there any issues with the maximus vii hero that I should be aware of before buying it as I read about an issue like usb problems and double boot.

Is there another motherboard within the same price range and have the same gaming features that I should consider.

Thanks in advance.

I'm running the Hero VII with 16GB of 2400 RAM (Trident X) with no issues, as are many others. Just enable the XMP. If you go with the Vengeance Pro sticks, which are very good, just make sure you check compatibility with your CPU cooler as they are very tall.

Nothing exactly comparable, but plenty of expensive 'gaming' motherboards out there. MSI has a "Gaming" series, Gigabyte has the "Sniper" Series, ASRock the Extreme series.

Yes that memory will technically work, however that is an overclocked state, so you may be in for some fine tuning or raising the voltage a little to get that speed. If you load the XMP Profile it may just work at the rated speed.

I've got both the Hero's, Z87 and 97, and the Tridents are a great match have run set's of Tri's up through 2800 on both mobos...Have had the Corsairs, but they are weaker sticks, no real OC headroom

+1^ for Hero .Solid mobo . !!

Got the Tridents (and Z97 Hero) based on your recommendation - good call! They run like a striped ape on fire. Haven't played with the speed or timings yet, just set on XMP. Thanks again!
