i live in a remote village where the internet through cable is not reliable, i want to use 2 gprs or 3g usb modem to bridge together so that i can get speed around 512kbs together, gprs plans are unlimited so cost wise also it is cheaper than 3g. if i use 3g plans and i get only edge or gprs signal still i will be charged for 3g so i think 2 edge conection are best.
thanks

You can route specific internet traffic to one internet source (like all traffic going to google.com to use interent connection 1). You can also route it so that specific computers use different internet sources, but you can not merge internet sources like you are wanting to do.

I can only make assumptions because I am not in front of their equipement to see how it is hooked up.

With that said they most likley had one connection handling half of the computers, and the other connection handling the other half of the computers doing load balancing. The speed increased because each connection had less computers it had to split its resources among.

Lets think about this, to do what you are thinking your router would have to ask for half the data for a webpage from one internet connection and half the data from the other internet connection. Web servers and the entire internet protocal is not designed to work this way, you ask for the data and it sends all the data to the connection requesting it, not half, a third, a quarter, etc.
