I'm running windows 7 64 bit. I have a wireless controller that is connected by a charge and play cord by nyko. I've installed the drivers, went through the device manager, there's no unknown device. I don't know how to fix it

Googled it, and if the cord that I found is the same one that you've mentioned, it only provides power to the controller through the USB port, it doesn't offer a data connection (and therefore cannot be used to connect to your PC).

If your cord does offer this option, could you please provide a link to the specific product? Thanks.

You need to buy a special receiver for your wireless controller, otherwise it won't connect, here's the link for the receiver:

After you buy that you will be able to connect your controller to the PC, that's what I do.

Yeah, there's nothing anywhere on that page that says it transmits data, only power. I have a similar cable with the same limitation.

Sorry about that, that cable is not going to transmit data, and therefore cannot be used on your PC. You'll need to get a cable that is advertised with that function, or buy a wired controller.
