Hi everyone,

So, I'm now trying to make a decision, should i buy the R9 270. I have a GTX 650Ti now and I'm gonna build a new system in ~1 year. So should i buy it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you! -Gameduck

Well according to Toms charts the 270 runs Battlefield 4 at almost twice as many FPS as the 650ti (at 1080 resolution). So thats going to be a big difference for ya. The card will still be pretty fast for a few more years, so when you buy your new system you can keep using it for a while. Then just upgrade again in a couple of years. I would do it if thats you're budget range.

Well, my price range is $1000 so I'm not in budget, but i think I'm still gonna keep it on the build! :) Oh, thanks for reply!

It's a decent performance increase, i'd go for it if you need it.

if you are not building for a year no. that would be silly. tech moves so fast it could be anywhere in 6 months. put your money away and use it when you need it. the new line of gpus comes out any month now which will result in a market drop on older cards. now is not the time to buy GPUs in general.

EDIT: If you are doing a $1000 build a 270 is way to small. in the 1000 price range you should be going with a 770 or a 280x anayway

The point is here the 270 will still be fast in a few years. @$1000 you don't have much money left for a video card buying good CPU/MOBO/MEM... - wait I ran out of money already...
Get it?
- And when I say fast - i mean "fast enough"
