Stuck at loading operating system screen

I recently purchased a new hard drive roughly 2 months ago and everything was working fine. Today when I turned my computer on it stopped at the loading operating system screen and stayed that way for a good 5 minutes until it finally blue screened. I plugged in my old backup hard drive and it loaded up perfectly. Any idea on what could be causing the problem? Did my new hard drive fail already? New hard drive is a 3TB WD Black.

Just posted about a similar problem with mine, again though WD Black.... may be coincidence but at this stage most things are pointing towards it being the HDD that's messed up with mine aswell.
