Hey everyone, want to build a desktop soon and put together this:
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/LeviSJ/saved/qFLwrH

My biggest problems are deciding intel or AMD CPU and which motherboard to go with.

This would be one of my first builds so I'm not overly keen to get overclocking but not totally against it either. If I were to use an AMD CPU I already have a CPU cooler I could use.

Trying to keep the budget around £500 but I'm having someone bring parts over from Russia so can afford to push a bit higher with the UK prices. I already have a copy of windows 8.

Currently going to use my 720p TV but hoping to get a 1080p monitor off a family friend soon.

Thanks in advance

I just modified your build in order to add a stronger 3GB GPU and PSU. Same price. You dont need a 3rd party cpu cooler.

Thanks, I'm hesitant to go AMD graphics because of the recent poor optimisation on AMD cards as a result of Nvidia GameWorks.

I do need a cooler as my processor is coming from Russia in an OEM format

The CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus is a great cooler for the price.
