I started receiving messages in Windows 7 that my hard drive was failing and eventually I could no longer boot the PC. On start up, I was getting the message "PXE-E61 Media Test Failure, check cable." I replaced the hard drive with another WD SATA and i'm still seeing the same error message.

I've taken the following steps but nothing has worked so far.

Replaced HD
Reseated all HD cables
Replaced SATA cable to mother board
Reset BIOS settings and made sure new HD shows up in BIOS.

I'm not sure what else to try. Thanks

Actually on second look, your Motherboard is trying to boot from the network, make sure to disable network boot from the BIOS.

Also, is there anything on the new HDD? If it doesn't see any bootable media, it will just go to the next option, which I'm guessing is network boot in your settings.
