New build; nothing works

For the past week, I have been working on setting up my new build. At first, I thought everything would be fine and the build would run smoothly when I finished, but after a few days, I learned that this would not be the case. The first time I booted the computer with everything plugged in, the only thing that would turn on was the motherboard power button LED and the ethernet cable light (which would indicate that the motherboard was partially working, right?). However, nothing else happened. No fans, no beeping (I didn't have a motherboard speaker at the ti), etc.

Once I got a motherboard speaker, I tried to test it out but it didn't seem to work. At this point, the power button LED had stopped working and I thought that perhaps the PSU had died. So, to test whether it would work or not, I performed the paperclip test and concluded that it had died since the fan would not spin (although, on the PSU website it does say that the fan only spins when needed, so it's possible that this was why it wasn't spinning). Today, I received my replacement and was surprised when I plugged it in and nothing worked.

Obviously, the problem is most likely with either the motherboard or the CPU (or maybe something else, I don't know). I am probably going to end up sending it to a hardware store for repairs, but I thought I would post here before I did so since it's possible I just made a really stupid mistake.

Specs:
CPU - Intel Core i7-4790K
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK
RAM - A-DATA Premier Pro Series 16GB
Storage (SSD) - Crucial M500 240GB
Storage (HDD) - Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB
Optical Drive - LG GH24NSB0
GPU - 2x Gigabyte R9 290s
PSU - EVGA Supernova 1000 P2 1000W
Case - Corsair Air 540

Things I've tried:
1. Partially re-building the computer. By partially I mean I didn't take out the CPU/CPU cooler.
2. Following all of the steps in the "no POST" guide except breadboarding, which I honestly don't want to do (although I might have to at this point). I might go through the steps again one more time just to make sure, though.
3. Running with only the CPU, CPU cooler, and motherboard speaker. There were no beeps.
4. Sending a ticket to Gigabyte support. It's been two days.
5. Replacing the PSU, though I don't think that affected anything.

Hopefully somebody will be able to help me here. Thanks!

If you take both GPUs out and plug your monitor into the motherboard (CPU and RAM in), does it work?
Breadboarding is your best option at this point. And be prepared to replace the motherboard
because if breadboarding doesn't fix it, its the next candidate in line for being DOA

Alright. I went ahead and ordered a replacement since I'm confident that the motherboard is the problem.

Thanks for your reply.
