I know the minimum required for a 270x would be 500w, but that assumes you have a low quality a PSU. I have a decent-ish quality psu (XFX 450W Core) with 34 amps on the +12 rail.

Would this be enough for an asus r9 270x as I don't know if it consumes more power then reference or not. (duel six pin's can be taken care of).

System Specs:

i5 4670K - Overclocked to 4Ghz on stock voltage
8GB ram
Asus Maximus VI Hero
1 HDD
6 fans in total

Can you give me an update as to how the build went, considering a similar system with an i5 4670k and an r9 270 with the same power supply
