Just finished my first building up (Asus Z87, I4790K, 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM, Gigabyte GTX 770, SPU Sorsair TX650M).
Switched it on and it doesn't start.
CPU led on mother board shows that cpu has a power supply;
Hard drives are sound as usual when they start;
and.. nothing happens at the screen.
Please, help.

Your motherboard probably wasn't the latest rev that they have available that ships with the update, so you will need to call or email the place that you ordered it from and see what they can do for you as far as returning the board. If you don't want that much downtime but have some extra money you could buy the cheapest non refresh haswell chip that you can find just to update the bios with. If you have a decent computer shop in your area like for example I'm a consultant that works on their own but I carry all of the processors for each socket so I can update my customers boards for them to work if ever needed. Just stay local for the most part if you go that way, no geek squad or data doctors, they all rip people off and will give you a false diagnoses so that you pay them for work and or parts that are not needed.

Thank you! I found the problem: some pins on cpu socket were bent down. I bought this mb used from eBay and didn't check pins at the beginning. Another lesson... Is there any way to replace cpu socket?
