How do I know if a component comes with it's SATA cable?

Hello,
While searching around on NewEgg for a 1TB hdd, it had crossed my mind that some items may not be alongside their corresponding SATA cable (namely this as some reviews said that it was OEM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840&cm_re=1_tb_seagate-_-22-148-840-_-Product). How do I know if an HDD, SSD, etc. comes with the cables it is supposed to come with (like power cables, SATA)?

Here is my build if anyone is interested in seeing if I have any OEM items or items without the cables.

Generally OEM SSDs/HDDs won't include a cable, just the drive itself. Motherboards normally include at least a couple of SATA cables, often more.

Sometimes you can get 'kits' that include a cable and a bunch of crap you don't want or need (at least you can get these with samsung SSDs), but the difference in cost is a lot more than the cost of a single SATA cable.

Power cables aren't included since these are connected to your power supply, or come with your power supply if it's modular/semi-modular.

If you're getting just an SSD or HDD on its own as an upgrade, buy a cable separately. If it's for a new build, cables will come with your motherboard.

Thanks for the reply. Will this Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131795&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= contain all the SATA cables I need for my optical drive, HDD?

According to ASUS there are 2 x SATA 3Gb/s cable(s) included with the M5A78L-M LX PLUS.
