I've talked with optimum support, and nothing is wrong with my router or my modem. All the other devices in my home are getting 25/50 internet, while I'm getting significantly lower speeds. There is something on this laptop that is wrong that is causing my slower internet. I've connected this laptop to my modem and my laptop is getting slower speeds than my other laptop being connected to the modem. I have a Lenovo Z585 laptop. On speedtest.net my download speed is about 5mbps and my upload speed is also about 5mbps while my other laptop is getting a download speed of about 50 mbps and an upload speed of about 25 mbps(what I'm supposed to be getting). Any help and advice is greatly thanked. If you need more infromation about my situation please ask.

The wireless networking (i.e. the thingy that lets you connect to a WiFi network wirelessly). If that doesn't work, then you MIGHT have some malware:(

Can you walk me through on how to check if my driver is up to date? I'm not sure how to and what to check.

1, Go into your Programs And Files (where you uninstall stuff) and take a screenshot of everything in it (and i mean EVERYTHING).
2, Post it here so I can see. I need to know what brand wireless networking you have.

Go on Qualcomm's website and locate the place where drivers are downloaded (it's usually in Support or Products). Then, compare the latest driver to the one you have.
