Hi,
So, I'm thinking of upgrading my computer soon and dont know what graphics card to get. I've been looking at a gtx 770 4gb version for $400 (used - $368) or a used 780 3gb on amazon for $400. I want to upgrade to triple monitors for surround gaming in the future and wanna make sure I'm getting a card that will handle it.

Thanks!

Solution

For 400 $, you can easily get a R9 280/280x/290/290x. They are faster (except when playing Watch_Dogs:) ) and they mine cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Litecoin, etc) better.
If you want nVidia, go for the 780 or maybe even dual 770 if you have the money.

Hope I helped!

Thanks for your responses guys. I'd rather go for nVidia (all the cards I've own have been them) Would you say a single gtx 780 would perform well for surround gaming on high settings? I'm not that concerned about hitting 60 fps, just as long as its a stable frame rate.

Probably/definitely, since it is a high-end card. if you have the $$$, get the 780 Ti, it performs even better:)
