I'd go with the Hero, the Formula is coming up for release shortly which would be a good pick if planning for a custom loop and water cooling, the Asus Z97-Pro is another good mobo, doesn't OC quite as well

the Asus Hero all the way.........Their Z87/1150 mobos were the best, I picked up the Hero as it was a new model, figuring I'd change to a Formula when they were released and never looked back, the Hero was/is the best Z87 and best rated...so I grabbed the Z97 when it was released and it's even better - OCs better, handles DRAM better, runs cooler, BIOS is improved - just a great mobo (again)....In the Z87s I looked to Asus first then the Rock and then GB (the only three brands I'll build on...looks like it will be the same w/ the Z97s ;) It doesn't have Wifi, but an adapter runs $20-25 which is still far less than the Gaming G1
