I have an HP. right away im going to say that i completely regret the purchase but as my resources are limited i am stuck with what i have. HP=Horrible Products. I have the HP Pavilion Touchsmart 23 F250 ill be adding a team 8gb ram card to the system whenever it arrives as i have ordered it already. that will make it a 12GB DDR3 1600 with an A4 5300 APU (Trinity) AMD Radeon HD 7480d [strike]GPU[/strike] Integrated so its APU.... Possibility for (Richland) A10 6700k 100w Processor? If i change the "laptop" power supply? Is it possible to do these things with an all in one PC? Where there is a will there is a way so i wont give up.

Thanks.

Solution
Yes, you can.

On the HP page says that it supports the A10-6700. The A10 6700 is a 65W TDP (same as the A4 5300), not 100W TDP like it's unlocked big brother the A10 6800K. You may not need a new power supply, that all-in-one already supports the A10 APU. But you may need a BIOS upgrade.

If you want to do some gaming, forget the 8 GB more of ram. Buy a new 2 x 4GB 1866MHz dual channel Kit. Gaming on an APU requires high bandwidth memory and dual channel is mandatory.

Thanks! i did get the A10 6700 and WOW. for an all in one this is very impressive the back of the machine had to be "rigged" to account for the heat.. i just removed the back panel and fabricated a new one out of metal diamond mesh. its running highest settings in bio-shock infinite at 45-50 fps!

HP. A once proud, innovative company. The first tech company in what is now Silicon Valley. Now nothing but a second rate re-packager of Windows.
