I know I'll have to get a new PSU because mine does not have enough wattage if I used a SLI connection. My specs are http://pcpartpicker.com/user/lemons13579/saved/yYZzK8

And I would prefer whichever processor is cheapest between the two brands

If you want price for performance get an AMD FX 8350

Do you think that the AMD FX 8350 would be good with just a single GTX 760? or to get the full performance would I want to use the SLI connection

It would do really well with both sli and single GPU. It's what I'm getting for my R9 270.

It's one of AMD's best selling CPU's and currently holds a world record for the highest overclock :)

Yeah, don't believe the hype regarding Intel over AMD. The 8350 will not "bottleneck" your GPU. The word bottleneck gets thrown around so much. Half the time people don't even use it correctly.

Agree fully, the only chance you'll have at a bottleneck is if you get something like a Titan, and an Athlon 760k Maybe not even a bottleneck with that.

Do you think that the AMD FX 6300 would be a bottleneck to the GTX 760?

I wouldn't advise getting the 6300, it'll struggle in newer games.

Yea you're right I have it right now and it does struggle. I am going to get the FX 8350. Although, would a 780 TI be a better choice than two 760's? because it requires less power?

There are some games that don't take advantage of 2 cards. Going with 1 strong card and calling it good would probably be the best thing to do. If you're playing 1080p, the gtx 770 2gb is enough for 1080p gaming, for future proofing amd r9 290 isn't too much more than the gtx 770 and is on the same performance level as the gtx 780. The gtx 780Ti is way overkill for 1080p.

Could you provide a link to an AMD r9 290 because I keep finding all different ones with different speeds and I just want to see the latest and best amd r9 290 card out there right now.

I'd recommend getting a windforce one, 3 fans will keep it cool.
