I'm looking to make a build with two hard disks.

I have a 15000 rpm (300 GB) hard disk which I would like to use solely to install the OS (WIndows 8), and then have a 7200 rpm (4 TB) as a storage device (They're both internal HDD's).
Is there any drawbacks or bottlenecks in this system? I'm refering to the sole interaction between the two hard disks, reading and writing between them.
Does this sound like a good idea? Keep in mind that I have thought about using an SSD instead of the 15000 rpm but I cannot afford an SSD at the moment.

Thank you.

Solution
Lots of people do this. You will be fine. Install windows only with the 15k installed. Add the 4tb after so as not to have windows boot files accidentally written to it.
