Hi, ever since I upgraded my graphics card from a GT 630 to a GTX 760 my computer has gotten very slow. My boot time before took about 1 minute to start up but after I installed my GPU it now takes about 7 minutes to start.

I am using Windows 7 and my specs are:

CPU: i5-2320 3.00GHz

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2GB

Memory: 6GB of DDR3 1333 MHz

Motherboard: Foxconn H61MXL-K

PSU: Corsair RM 750

More about : upgraded gpu slower

Have you tried putting the GT 630 back in?

If it doesn't do it with the old card then it is most likely a faulty GTX 760.

Can diagnose further after :)

I can't do that due to it being faulty, but as I realized the only thing that my pc is slow at is start up and when I play Planetside 2 on normal. When I so play Planetside 2 my RAM is 75% used which could be why it is slowing everything down. Could a RAM upgrade help my boot time too?

Your ram amount won't affect boot time. It is possible you may have a faulty stick.

It could be a sign of hard drive failure. As Mastermace says, try re-seating them.

And then run chkdsk

What do you mean by re-seating?

Remove and reconnect the drive making sure it is in securely and hasn't come loose.

I done that and it still has not done anything, it still is taking a long time to boot up

Have you removed the old graphics drivers completely and installed the new ones?

Most commonly the hdd will affect boot speed, but any component can.

CPU, Motherboard, etc

Trial and error.

I have removed and re-installed all the new drivers and the boot time is still long. I also reseated the GPU and still the same problem.
