Crysis 1 nor GTA IV will run at ALL on 780ti

Hi, I just built Tom's Q1 2014 enthusiast build, except the motherboard was switched with an msi h87-g43, and I've installed Crysis 1 and Gta iv, but they simply won't run. I try to run Gta iv, and it gives me an error saying "seculauncher error 2000" I tried downloading the c++ x64 redistributable sp1 from Microsoft, but then it says "error creating process; system cannot find file specified." Then, with Crysis after I installed it, I get to the intro cutscene and it just cuts to white with an error message saying "display driver stopped responding." I don't know what to do, and I've been scouring the internet trying to find solutions for hours. I just want to play my games, so I guess I spent 2,000 dollars for nothing.

You have a legal copy of Windows that is completely up to date, the games are up to date with Steam or Origin and all your drivers are installed and up to date?

It would help if you listed components so we don't have to go searching for an old article.

1. Crysis - I had some issues with this game too, installing older version of .NET framework helped me (2009 or so)
2. GTA - Simply try to run GTA IV.exe as administrator, if it doesn't work check this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2748718 , also even if you will get rid of this issue you will have another problem - GTA IV will not see your VRam, if a GPU has more than 2GB of VRam ( your GTX 780Ti has 3GB) it won't be recognized and game will force you to use the lowest settings, fix for this issue is (in Steam) clicking right mouse button on the game -> properties -> general -> set launch options, text menu will pop-up, write -norestrictions -nomemrestrict, confirm and it should run just well.
3. Yes, PC gaming is quite difficult sometimes, I have problems with about 20% of my games, however there's ALWAYS (I mean ALWAYS!) a solution somewhere in the internet.

Okay, so far, I've gotten GTA IV to finally work. Don't really know how, but I did. I put in the disc and it reinstalled. I also got the enb series mods enabled. But I don't think there's anything wrong with my graphics card because I can at least play GTA IV at near max settings (only thing down is draw distance by a hair). But then this has me wondering because GTA IV WILL occasionally stutter and freeze then go to desktop with sound still on then reopen back up at the same spot. It also did this without the mod. Also, I've been playing dolphin emulator, and I noticed the sound would get pretty fuzzy at parts, sometimes be inaudible and then switch back to clearness. And it would occasionally crash too. I just don't get it. I thought the 780 ti could max out everything and run smoothly. I turn on Crysis 1 still and it always gets to the opening cutscene then once gameplay comes, goes white, then crashes to desktop saying "display driver has stopped responding and has recovered." It's really infuriating. I haven't even tweaked the Crysis 1 settings. It's all the way at the VERY LOWEST. This is unbelievable. Looked around the net, and a whole lot of people have this problem, and most just never get it fixed at all. They even switch their gpu, motherboard, AND cpu, and nothing works. Am I not destined to ascend to the pc master race? I want to be one of you. I dished out the money, yet problems STILL persist. I thought that there would be absolutely nothing wrong at all with the type of build I have. People have told me it's elite stuff.

Don't let these 2 games get you down, PC really isnt as bad as these 2 would make you believe. GTA IV is a notoriously bad port that nobody can run really well. Crysis has a quite a few issues that alot of people suffer from including myself. I was able to get mine fixed but I dont recall how I did it. You can try going onto steam, right click on crysis, select properties and go to "Set Launch Options..." and enter -dx9

I dont know for sure that was how I fixed mine but it takes 5 seconds so couldnt hurt.

Of the 100+ games I own, only Crysis, GTA IV, and Darksiders 2 had issues that I had to resort to google to solve. One of the issues I had with GTA was actually my frame rate being to high, after some cutscenes and during a QTE, the game can stop working with over 30 FPS (cutscenes result in an endless loading screen, QTE will be impossible to beat) the solution for this is to download FRAPS and record at 30 fps which also locks your frame rate to 30. You wouldnt need to be recording the entire game, just have fraps running and if you run into one of these bad cutscenes ore the QTE, record the cutscene and the loading screen or the QTE.

Yes, my gpu drivers are up-to-date. I've even uninstalled my gpu in safe mode and reinstalled everything including the drivers. I haven't tried the "-dx9" the person above me suggested, but I don't have the steam version. I just have the maximum edition disc-based version I bought from Amazon. Also, thankls for the words of encouragement regarding pc gaming in general. After playing Team Fortress 2 and some demos off of steam, my spirits were raised once I got to see some games running, and by GOD they were beautiful. Team Fortress 2 looks LIGHTYEARS beyond the 360 version (gameplay AND graphics) with what looked 60+ fps. I even had the settings maxed out. Crysis is just pissing me off though because I LOVE CRYSIS. But I've never played Crysis. I've only had the way inferior 360 version, but OH MY GOD. I loved it sooooo much. I really want to play it maxed out with mods, and I know my build can do it because I saw a video of a guy playing the game with some pretty intensive mods on a comparable build to mine with I think like 70 fps. I also feel duped because Tom did the tests, and his build/my build could run Battlefield 4, Crysis 3, and Arma 3 at max settings. I'm pretty sure he was getting above 60 fps with BF4, and if he could do that with BF4!!!!? How can I NOT even PLAY Crysis 1!?

Try this DX9 thingy, get older .Net framework, run the game in compatibility mode, do everything to make this game think you have a computer from the times when Crysis was new.

Citation form gamespot forum: "If you don't have a shortcut for Crysis on your desktop, go to your game directory and create one. Then right click on shortcut, add -dx9 to the target parameter, so it looks something like this: "C:.....\Crysis\Bin32\Crysis.exe -dx9" Make sure the directory is correct and the quotation marks are there."

BTW
With your setup you should get about 150 FPS in Battlefield 4 on ultra. Also, sometimes Crysis looks better than BF4 :)

Whoa, whoa, whoa. You guys forget, you have a recent console convert on your hands. Now, I'm assuming the game directory is the bin64 folder with the application in it? Also, how do I add "-dx9" to the shortcut on the desktop. Perhaps some screen caps to walk through?

Screenshots coming, btw do you have a shortcut on the desktop?
Edit:
Alright, first if you have a shortcut, right click on it, then click properties. Window like this should appear (except mine is in Polish and I used LoL as an example):
nR1eAls.png

In "Rozpocznij w", or as it will look in your case "start in" (or something like that) add -dx9 between .exe and ". Like so:

Oh, well, don't worry there's a lot of ways to do this.

Yes... apparently I made wrong screenshots... sorry>_<

[strike]Have you downloaded older .Net? If not I'll post links soon.[/strike] Nevermind, let's try something else first, copy the target section, you have edited a while ago and post it here, I need to check something.

I guess it work :) ?
Also, It's grayed because you are using DirectX9, to use DirectX10 you have to delete -dx9 thingy I told you to do.
