I am going to build a PC soon but I confuse with the watts needed for my PC. Is that like its needed to add all the watts of the PC components like example the processor 80 watts VGA card 400 watts HDD 30watts so need to get 500+watts power supply or just choose from the component that use most so e.g. Above VGA is the most so just 400+ watt power supply like that. If wrong please tell me how to calculate watts for buying a PSU

you add everything up, add a certain % depending on the efficiency of the psu, then give it a little buffer room for aging. also, make sure it is a good quality brand. what is your build?
