A i saw a similar problem to another guy who had the same issue as me but with some other heat problems. His solution didnt work for me at all. So here is what happened.

It was a fine day, and i was playing Guild Wars 2 on max settings at my 1050p screen. While playing for about 30 - 40 mins my pc shutted down. As i have default setting from bios my pc re opened istantly and said CPU over voltage error! I presed F1 to enter bios and saw

3.3V was about to 3.1V red.
my cpu was 1.4V and it was at 54 oC.(quiet normal right?)
I havent changed a thing from the bios only the time and the RAM Freq.

Any sollutions please?

My specs:

CPU: AMD Fx 6300 3.5GHz ( i checked on turbo on/off still same issue)
mobo: Asus M5A97 R2.0
RAM:Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB DDR3-2400MHz Dual Kit
Graphic Card: GTX 760 Direct CUII
PSU: A really old one but a brand at 400W i dont remember its name i ll post it if needed.
Hard Drives: An SSD Kingstone at 120GB and an old HDD at 500GB.
Cooling system: at cpu i have CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO and 2 fans in the box.

Also let me metion that my PSU has only 1 cord for CPU power supply when it needs 2. I don't know what could be wrong really... Maybe my PSU?
I just ordered a EVGA 500 Bronze 500 WATT 80PLUS.

Thank you for replying.

Solution
1.4v is way too high, lower to around 1.25 and try to boot. if it boots, run Prime95 for an hours or 2, and if there are no problem, lower it to 1.2 and repeat. if there are errors, slowly raise the voltage until it is stable.

Ok i will try and do that. But i should say that was at bios i changed the setting from Normal Perfomance to Save Perfomance where it saves energy and its Quiet but loses perfomance and still got shut down. But i will try to monitor it to lower Volt if i can because Asus bios are really trick...

Actually before lowering volts i removed the CMOs battery and opened it again. Now i am doing the prime95 and some other stress test to see. If not i will lower the volt. And post results.

Edited: Everything is going fine. All cores 100% load VID 1.2625 V CPU temp is 40 - 45 Max.
