Internet is slow only when I start up my computer

Hey people on the internet
So to have this problem where whenever I start up my computer the internet gets really slow. When my pc is off it's fine. First off I thought it was a virus but I can't really tell because I have no virus protection and the crappy one that is install with windows 8 is out of date and I can't update it because my internet is too slow. I recentlY water cooled my computer but there were no problems or leaks. Please help!

So when you turn your PC on, other devices using the internet suddenly experience speed issues ?? And you've no virus protection... sounds like malware to me, you turn on your PC the malware kicks in and starts trying to download more crap on your PC thus killing your internet speeds.... You need to get some malware/anti virus software installed. Download them from another PC onto a USB stick and install them, also disconnect your PC from the internet to stop it downloading more malware.

Hey.
Thanks for the answer, It was a quick response. I thought it was malware but i dont know what Anti Virus Software to download.
Do you know one that works well and can help me??
