i keep reading things about artifacts on these cards. i have ordered one now but ....i hope i dont end up regretting it.
the one i ordered is asus . sapphire toxic seemed glitchy to me . later i found both the cards are not reliable. so should i go for it , or cancel and get an nvidia card?

no, it should be fine. There are always going to be faulty cards sold, it's not that common and shouldn't put you off unless the supplier is notorious of producing 'cheap' cards, like powercolor.

Asus and Sapphire are two of the best suppliers of AMD cards.

Keep the Asus, assuming it is DCUII and not the stock (1 fan) cooled model.

PowerColor has improved greatly. These days XFX cards are bad. :)

Seems the Nvidia fanboys have been spreading propaganda again.

also guys , what about the fact that games nowadays and upcomming are 'coded' to suit nvidia cards?
should i take that into consideration or is it just nonsence?

Some games work better with radeon cards. Others with nVidia cards.

Radeon have a history of using more power and getting hotter than nVidia cards.

Also with faulting in general - http://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Video-Card-Failure-Rates-by-Generation-563/

doesnt this imply that its better to get an nvidia rather than an amd?

Solution

they have, though still not a brand I and possibly others would appeal to.
