Hi there

I have been advised that my CPU temps are high, 45oc when idle, reaching 80+ under load. Please can someone recommend a good cooling option for my CPU that will work well with my current system. My system specs are:

Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. P8Z77-V PRO

Processor: 3.60 gigahertz Intel Core i7-3770K

GPU: MSI AMD R9 290 - brand new

Memory: 16334 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory

PSU: EVGA Supernova650G Gold - brand new

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (x64)

Thank you

Either is fine, whichever is better recommended?

A local retailer has a Corsair H55 water cooler, is this a good pick or should I invest more?

Depends on your budget, if you are low, then go for air, if you want extreme cooling, then liquid :)  Any high range noctua cpu cooler can do or the h80i if you want liquid
