I recently watercooled my R9 290 xfire. Temps are okay and fps are good. But got a problem on combination mentioned above some games.

Test Results are:
Crossfire Disabled = All okay(including 5760X1080 eyefinity)
Crossfire + 1080p = All okay
Crossfire + eyefinity + window mode (including 5760x1080) = All Okay
Crossfire + eyefinity(4800x900) + fullscreen = All Okay
Crossfire + eyefinity + fullscreen (5760x1080) ;on (BF4, Unigine Valley, Unigine Heaven(DX9 & OpenGL = Okay

Problem is on;
Crossfire + eyefinity + fullscreen (5760x1080) ;on (Crysis 3, BF3, Batman Arkham City, Dirt 2, Dirt 3, Unigine Heaven DX11 = with artifacts.

Any Idea what's causing this? Thanks in advance

I think you might have answered this with your tests

with xfire disabled @ 5760x1080 it's fine
with xfire enabled @ 5760x1080 artifacts in certain games

some games don't respond as well as others to xfire and sli

About half of my games run fine with 2 GPUs, the rest don't

Well said. Even tho the technologies have been around for a decade, even now in 2014 both SLI and xfire have serious issues with some games.

Just want to add something. Before I watercooled it, Dirt3, Grid 2, Crysis 3, BF3 we're fine. So I'm thinking, maybe I screwed my card. But why not on all games and resolution? :)

Also I've crossfired with almost every single game you mentioned and never had any artifacts. But load a custom crossfire profile for each game and see if that helps.
